Print Carrots with Marsala Recipe
Notes:
Carrots with Marsala
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Pounds Carrots peeled and diced
1 1/2 Cups Chicken Stock low fat, low sodium, plus 2 teaspoons
1/4 Teaspoon Salt fresh ground black pepper to taste
1/8 Teaspoon Pepper sweet red
1 1/2 Tablespoons Sugar pinch
1/4 Cup Marsala Wine (see note)
Directions:
1. Cut carrots into 1/2" slices.

2. In frying pan, combine carrots with 3/4 cup stock, salt, and pepper.

3. Cover tightly and cook, shaking pan several times, over medium heat 3 minutes or until stock is almost evaporated.

4. Add another 3/4 cup stock, cover, and cooks as above.

5. Sprinkle sugar over carrots and cook, stirring, 2 minutes, or until carrots begin to brown.
