Print Lo Mein Recipe

Lo Mein
Ingredients:
1 Package Egg Noodles boil, rinse, drain
1 Pound Flank Steak thinly sliced
1 1/3 Tablespoons Cornstarch dissolved in, 1/4 c. orange juice
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce low sodium
1 1/3 Tablespoons Dry Sherry or vermouth dry
2 Cloves Of Garlic crushed
2 Cups Chicken Stock low fat, low sodium, plus 2 teaspoons
1/4 Cup Oyster Sauce
2 Teaspoons Sesame Oil to taste
2 Bunches Green Onions thinly sliced
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil or bacon fat to 3 tablespoons
Directions:
1. Mix together first cornstarch, soy sauce and sherry.

2. Add prepared steak and marinate for 15 minutes minimum.

3. Prepare sauce. Heat wok. Add 2 tbsp oil and heat.

4. Add garlic; brown. Discard. Add beef and stir until almost done.

5. Add sauce mixture and stir until thick. Add green onions and sesame oil.

6. Mix well and keep warm. Pour meat and sauce over prepared noodles.
