1 1/2 Cups Sugar confectioner'

Directions:

1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg and extracts.

2. Stir in flour; mix well. Chill for several hours.

3. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness; cut with a 2 1/2 or 3 inch heart shaped cookie cutter.

4. Place on ungreased baking sheets; sprinkle with red sugar, if desired.

5. Bake at 375F for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
