Chocolate Drop Cookies
Ingredients:
1 Cup Flour 1 Cup Sifted flour (up to 2)
1 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Sugar (up to 6)
1/2 Cup Milk Powder 1/2 Cup Non-fat dry milk powder
1/2 Tablespoon Baking Powder 1/2 Tablespoon Baking powder plus
1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1/2 Teaspoon Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 Cup Cocoa 1/4 Cup Sifted cocoa dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water
1 Unit Egg 1 Unit Egg lightly beaten
1/2 Cup Butter 1/2 Cup Melted butter
1/4 Cup Water 1/4 Cup Water hot
1 Teaspoon Vanilla 1 Teaspoon Vanilla grated lemon zest or orange zest
Directions:
1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F Mix flour, sugar, powdered milk, baking powder, salt and cocoa together and sift well.

2. Beat in remainder of ingredients, adding a little more water if needed to make a smooth dough.

3. Drop from a teaspoon onto a well-greased baking sheet, spacing cookies 2 inches apart, and bake 12-to-15 minutes until lightly browned around the edges.

4. Let cool 1-to-2 minutes on sheets, then lift to wire racks to cool.
