Date Bars
Ingredients:
1 Cup
Flour (00 type)
2 Teaspoons
Baking Powder plus 1 teaspoon
1 Unit
Salt approximately
1 Cup
Sugar confectioner'
1 Tablespoon
Butter softned
1 Teaspoon
Vanilla or Almond extract to
1 Teaspoon
Lemon zest finely chopped
3 Tablespoons
Water hot
1 Cup
Dates chopped
1 Cup
Pecan chopped
2 Unit
Eggs well beaten
Directions:
1.
Cream sugar and butter.

Add extracts, hot water, dates and nuts. Add well beaten eggs, dry ingredients, sifted together.

Spread in pan 8 x 10 x Bake 30 minutes at 325 F.
