Hot Carmel Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla or more; if desired
1/2 Cup Light Corn Syrup (makes for smooth texture)
1 1/2 Cups Sugar (2T)
1 Cup Half And Half (half milk, half
6 Tablespoons Butter or margarine softened
Directions:
1. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, 1/2 cup of the half-and-half, corn syrup and butter.

2. Bring to a full boil. Gradually add remaining half-and-half.

3. BE SURE BOILING DOES NOT STOP! Cook over medium heat to soft ball stage (230 F).

4. , stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.

5. Serve warm over ice cream or cake. 2 cups.
