Italian Chili
Ingredients:
1/2 Pound Ground Beef 1/2 Pound Ground beef lean
1 Onion 1 Onion chopped
1/2 Cup Green Bell Pepper 1/2 Cup Green Bell Pepper chopped
1/2 Cup Celery 1/2 Cup Celery chopped
1 Centiliter Garlic 1 Centiliter Garlic minced
1 Can Tomato 1 Can (28 oz) tomatoes crushed
1 Can Kidney Beans 1 Can (15 oz) kidney beans drained
1 1/2 Cups Tomatoes 1 1/2 Cups Tomatoe juice
1 Can Mushroom 1 Can (8oz) mushroom pieces and stems drained
1 Can Tomato 1 Can (6 oz) tomatoe paste
3 Ounces Pepperoni 3 Ounces Pepperoni sliced and cut in halves
1 1/2 Teaspoons Italian Seasoning 1 1/2 Teaspoons Italian seasoning generous
1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1/2 Teaspoon Salt to 1 ts
1/2 Teaspoon Red Pepper 1/2 Teaspoon Sugar 1/2 tsp dried red pepper crushed
Directions:
1. Brown beef in large frying pan, drain.

2. Add onion, green pepper, celery and garlic.

3. Cook until pepper and celery are soft (about 5 minutes).

4. In 5 quart saucepan or crock pot combine remaining ingredients.

5. Mix well. Stir in ground beef and vegetables.

6. Simmer 30 minutes or more (as much as two hours for full flavor).

7. This recipe is extremely flexible as you can add or delete ingredients to suit your own taste.

8. 8 - 10 servings. Goes well with restaurant style tortilla chips in lieu of silverware.
