Print Sauerkraut Recipe
1 Quart Sauerkraut (16 oz) well drained
2 Tablespoons Butter Or Vegetable, 3 Tbl
1 Teaspoon Caraway Seed ; crushed
1 Onion chopped medium
1 Potato raw
1. Melt the butter and add the onion and cook until brown.

2. Add the sauerkraut and cook for 8 minutes. Add the caraway seed and potato, cover with boiling water and cook for 30 minutes in an uncovered vessel over a slow fire.

3. Cover the kettle and cook 30 minutes longer.

4. Brown sugar or an apple may be added to give different flavor.
