This succulent stuffing would be an amazing addition to any ham or turkey dish for the holidays or any day! It is very easy to make and healthier for you than normal stuffing!
1. Saute apples, almonds, onion, and celery in butter for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
2. Remove from heat. Stir in cinnamon, poultry seasoning and salt.
3. Toss together bread cubes and raisins; add apple mixture.
4. Stir egg in 1/3 (or 1/2) c apple cider; toss into bread mixture.
5. Add remaining apple cider if a moister stuffing is desired.
6. Use to stuff a 15 to 20 lb turkey, or two large roasting chickens.
7. Spoon any remaining stuffing into a lightly greased 9x5 loaf pan.
8. Bake, covered, during the last 30-40 minutes of roasting.
