Almond Double Chip Cookies

A beautifully simple summertime recipe. These cookies have something for everyone and are perfect for an afternoon tea with the neighbors or a movie night with the kids.


3/4 cup Butter softened
3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar Packed
1 Egg
1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract
1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
1 cup Chips Vanilla Chocolate
1/2 cup Blanched Almond Slivered

1. Preheat oven to 375 F.

2. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or leave ungreased.

3. Beat butter and brown sugar in large bowl until creamy.

4. Beat in egg and almond extract. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.

5. Blend in butter mixture. Stir in semisweet and vanilla milk chips and almonds.

6. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls, 3" apart, onto prepared cookie sheets.

7. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown. DO NOT OVER BAKE.

8. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
