Almond Pound Cake

This is a great twist on an old-time favorite. Delightful pound cake is paired with hints of almond extract to create a rich yet subtle dessert pastry.

Ingredients:

3 cups Sugar
2 Butter Sticks
1/2 cup Shortening
5 Eggs Large
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3 cups Flour
1 can Evaporated Milk
2 teaspoons Almond Extract

Directions:

1. Cream sugar and shortening.

2. Add eggs and salt, cream well. Add remaining ingredients.

3. Pour into a very lightly greased 12 cup bundt pan.

4. Put into cold oven; set temperature at 320 F.

5. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan.
