This easy recipe of just 8 ingredients works up quickly and can be made in one bowl. I melted the chocolate chips in a sandwich bag over a pan of hot tap water. Then I cut one corner to make it easier for me to drizzle the chocolate onto the warm cookies. The nutty and buttery flavor is sure to "wow" your friends!
1. Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolk and vanilla.
2. Stir in flour. Spread mixture thinly on greased cookie sheet.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Melt chocolate over hot water and spread over warm baked cookies.
4. Sprinkle on nuts and press them firmly. Cut in bars while still warm. Let stand until chocolate is dry.
