Almond Shortbread Cookies

The wonderful familiarity of shortbread cookies, with a hint of crunchy almond. Great idea for those wanting some familiar cookies with a different kind of crunch.

Ingredients:

1 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Cornstarch
1/2 cup Confectionery Sugar
1 cup Almond finely chopped
3/4 cup Butter softened

Directions:

1. Combine flour, cornstarch, and powdered sugar; stir in almonds.

2. Add butter; blend with a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms.

3. Shape dough into small balls.

4. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten each ball with lightly floured fork.

5. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until edges are only lightly browned.

6. Cool before storing.
