Directions:
1. Cream sugar, brown sugar and shortening.2. Add vanilla and egg. Blend until
fluffy. Add the dry ingredients; blend.3. Roll teaspoonfuls into balls. Dip
into water and then into granulated sugar.4. Lay on cookie sheet, sugar side
up, then flatten with a glass. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
