This recipe requires some cooking skill as some of the instructions are a tad complicated. However, the recipe has only a few ingredients and when combined in the right way, it will create an unbelievable dish.

Ingredients:

3 Eggs whites
1/2 cup Sugar
1/8 teaspoon Cream Of Tartar

Directions:

1. Beat egg whites until frothy.

2. Add cream of tartar and beat to soft peaks. Gradually beat in sugar.

3. Continue beating until stiff and glossy. Beat in anise.

4. Using pastry bag, pipe onto parchment-lined baking sheets.

5. Bake at 275 degrees F. 30 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen kisses.

6. NOTE: If drier meringue is desired, turn off oven and let kisses stand in oven with door closed about 1 hour.
