Looking for a deliciously made new cookie recipe this holiday? Here it is, made from only the best simple ingredients and nothing over the top.

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Butter or margarine
1 1/2 Cups Unbleached Flour
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon Salt to taste
1/4 Cup Walnut chopped
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon ground
1 Egg lg
6 Ounces Low Fat Cheddar Cheese sharp, shredded
1 1/2 Cups Apples cored,peeled,chopped

Directions:

1. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then stir in the egg and vanilla.

2. Add the combined dry ingredients, blending well.

3. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees F.

4. Remove from the cookie sheet and cool on a wire rack or plate.
