2 Cups Water 2 Cups Water reserved from cooking
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
1/2 Cup Margarine 1/2 Cup Margarine (I prefer butter)
2 Cups Flour 2 Cups Flour (to 4 1/2 cups)
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder 2 Teaspoons Baking powder plus
1 Teaspoon Salt 1 Teaspoon Salt to 1 ts
3/4 Cup Shortening 3/4 Cup Shortening melted
1/2 Cup Milk 1/2 Cup Milk cold
5 Unit Apples 5 Unit Peeled and grated apples
1 Unit Sugar 1 Unit Sugar
1 Unit Cinnamon 1 Unit Cinnamon Ground

1. Combine sugar, water, and cinnamon in med.

2. saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.

3. Add margarine adn set aside. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and then mix with shortening and milk.

4. Roll dough onto floured surface about 1/4 inch thick.

5. Spread apples over surface of dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

6. Roll up. Slice into 12 1 inch rolls. Put in 9 x 13 baking pan.
