This is a quick and delicious bit of Virginia history. Jefferson planted several varieties of apples and they can be seen in the daily cooking of the plantation.

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
3 Tablespoons Butter melted
1/2 Cup Confectionery Sugar
1 Cup Applesauce
1 Lemon zest (peel)
3 Eggs beaten

Directions:

1. Mix all of the above together well and put in a pie shell or a baking dish.

2. I prefer a small baking dish.

3. Bake 35-40 minutes at 350 F or until set.
