Ingredients:

1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil as needed
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Unit Egg Lg
1 Teaspoon Vanilla or orange flower water; optional
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 Cup Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder plus
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda level - dissol ved in milk
1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon for garnish
1/8 Teaspoon Ground Cloves ;
1/2 Cup Oats not instant
1/2 Cup Raisin (up to 1)

Directions:

1. Cream the oil and sugar together.

2. Add the egg and beat until light. Blend in the vanilla and applesauce.

3. Stir in the flours, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, oats and raisins into the creamed mixture.

4. Blend well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly-oiled baking sheets.

5. Bake in a 375 F oven for 8-10 min or until lightly browned.
