Asparagus With Strawberry Vinaigrette

Ingredients:

2 1/2 Pounds Asparagus fresh
2 Cups Strawberries quartered/chilled
1/4 Cup Strawberry
1 Tablespoon Walnut Oil
1/2 Cup Peanut Oil or to taste
1 1/2 Teaspoons Honey Or Maple Syrup

Directions:

1. Trim asparagus and cut each stalk in thirds.

2. Steam until tender but still crisp. (Thin young stalks took 5 minutes).

3. Plunge in ice water; drain. Wash strawberries, then hull.

4. Cut strawberries in half; combine with asparagus.

5. Combine dressing ingredients; toss asparagus and strawberries gently with dressing.

6. Chill well before serving. The authors write: "What could be simpler - or more delicious - than spring's first asparagus combined with spring's first strawberries?" My notes: Good, and simple.
