Ingredients:

2 Unit Eggs 2 Unit Eggs separated, plus 2 egg yolks
Cup Flour Cup Unsifted flour ;
3/4 Cup Sugar 3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla 1 Teaspoon Vanilla almond or lemon flav
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder 1/4 Teaspoon Baking powder plus
1/2 Cup Butter 1/2 Cup Butter or margarine; melted
1/4 Teaspoon Salt 1/4 Teaspoon Salt to 1 ts
3/4 Cup Chocolate 3/4 Cup Ghiradelli ground chocolate
1/2 Cup Walnut 1/2 Cup Walnuts chopped

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 350F degrees.

2. Using a spoon, stirr eggs with sugar and vanilla; add butter.

3. Sift ground chocolate with flour, baking powder, salt.

4. Stir into egg mixture; add nuts. Spread into greased 8- or 9-inch square pan.

5. Bake at 350F for 20 to 30 minutes. For extra chewy brownies, use 8-inch pan and less baking time.

6. For cake- like brownies, use 9-inch pan and longer baking.
