1 1/2 Packages Marshmallows quartered (small size packages)
1 Cup Sugar Brown
1 1/2 Cups Water boiling
2 Ounces Chocolate (optional)
2 Tablespoons Margarine - melted
1 Teaspoon Vanilla or grated peel of One Orange
1 Cup Flour all purpose
1/2 Teaspoon Salt (non iodized)
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder heaping
1/2 Cup Milk To 7/8 C, (7/8-1 C)

1. Place marshmallows in square baking pan.

2. Bring 1/2 cup sugar and water to a rolling boil; pour over marshmallows.

3. Melt chocolate and margarine in saucepan; add remaining sugar, vanilla, flour, salt, baking powder and milk.

4. Drop batter by spoonfuls over marshmallow mixture.

5. Sprinkle pecans over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
