Ingredients:

3 Cups All-Purpose Flour sifted
2 1/4 Cups Sugar divided
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder heaping
1/2 Teaspoon Salt plus more for sprinkl ing
4 Unit Eggs large,just whites
1 Cup Vegetable Oil 1.5 TB
1/3 Cup Orange Juice chilled
2 1/2 Teaspoons Extract Of Vanilla (up to 2)
4 Granny Smith Apples peeled and thinly sliced
2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon for garnish

Directions:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 2 cups sugar, baking powder and salt.

2. Combine eggs, oil, orange juice and vanilla; add to flour mixture and mix well.

3. In another bowl, toss apples with cinnamon and remaining sugar.

4. Spread a third of the batter into a greased 10 inch tube pan.

5. Top with half the apples. Repeat layers. Carefully spread remaining batter over apples.

6. Bake at 350=F8F for 55 to 65 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted near the center comes out clean.

7. Cool in pan 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack; cool.
