Baked Apples And Sugar Syrup

Ingredients:

25 Grams Butter (1/4 stick) cut into 6 pieces
2 Tablespoons Dark Brown Sugar packed
2 Granny Smith Apples cored, peeled and cut into chunks

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 220c/425f/Gas 7.

2. 1 Heat the butter in a small roasting tin on the hob and add the sugar, heating until melted.

3. 2 Core and slice the apples on a mandalin or with a sharp knife.

4. Place the apple slices in a single layer in the roasting tray and transfer to the oven.

5. 3 Bake for 3-4 minutes, turning during cooki g.

6. To serve, stack each apple back up on a plate.

7. Stir the sugar mixture in the tin to loosen it (it should have apple juices in it now) and drizzle this over the apples.
