Baked Lima Beans Deluxe

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Dry Mustard
3 Onions thinly sliced
1 Can Tomato Paste (4 oz.)
3 Cans Butter Beans

Directions:

1. Brown 3 large onions in margarine (about 1/4 cup).

2. Add 1 can of tomato paste and 1 can water.

3. Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar with 1 tablespoon dry mustard and add salt and pepper to taste. Add to the tomato-onion mixture.

4. Let simmer until thick.

5. Place 3 cans of drained butter beans in a casserole.

6. Pour the tomato mixture over the beans and mix with 2 tablespoons bacon bits or crumbled bacon and seasoned with bread crumbs (about 1/2 cup crumbs).

7. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese over top and dot with butter or margarine. Use lots of butter.

8. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Can microwave for about 10 minutes on High.
