1. Brown 3 large onions in margarine (about 1/4 cup).
2. Add 1 can of tomato
paste and 1 can water.
3. Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar with 1 tablespoon dry
mustard and add salt and pepper to taste.
Add to the tomato-onion mixture.

Let simmer until thick.
5. Place 3 cans of drained butter beans in a
casserole.
6. Pour the tomato mixture over the beans and mix with 2
tablespoons bacon bits or crumbled bacon and seasoned with bread crumbs
(about 1/2 cup crumbs).
7. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese over top and
dot with butter or margarine.
Use lots of butter.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for
about 30 minutes.
Can microwave for about 10 minutes on High.
