Basic Corn Bread

Ingredients:
1 Cup Corn 1 Cup Self-rising white corn meal
3/4 Cup Buttermilk 3/4 Cup Buttermilk room temp
1 Tablespoon Sugar 1 Tablespoon Sugar (up to 6)
4 Tablespoons Bacon 4 Tablespoons Bacon drippings butter or ham
2. Melt bacon drippings in small, cast iron skillet in 500 degree oven.
3. Pour drippings in batter and stir thoroughly.
4. Pour batter into hot skillet; bake at 500 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
