Basic Granita Formula

Ingredients:
3 Cups Ice 3 Cups Store-bought fruit juice (any flavor)
1/2 Cup Sugar 1/2 Cup Sugar (up to 6)
1 Cup Water 1 Cup Water hot
2 Teaspoons Lemon Juice 2 Teaspoons Freshly squeezed lemon juice (1 lemon)
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
2. Let cool. Stir in the fruit juice and lemon juice and pour into a chilled 13 by 9 inch metal baking dish.
3. Place in the freezer and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes until the mixture is firm.
