Basting Sauce For Barbecue

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Margarine 1/2 Cup Margarine or Butter
1/2 Cup Bacon 1/2 Cup Bacon drippings or butter
3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice 3 Tablespoons Lemon juice depending on the
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce to taste
1 Teaspoon Salt 1 Teaspoon Salt and pepper to taste
1 Teaspoon Pepper 1 Teaspoon Pepper red bell
2 Teaspoons Chili Powder 2 Teaspoons Chili Powder (up to 8)
1. Butter is preferred in this dish for flavor, but you may prefer margarine.
2. In a saucepan, combine margarine, bacon drippings, lemon juice and Worcestershire Sauce.
3. Cook over low heat until butter margarine melts.
4. Dissolve Chili Powder, Salt, Pepper and Garlic Powder in water and add to margarine mixture.
5. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
6. Makes 3 1/2 cups. Will serve to baste 5 lbs.
