Beef With Spaghetti

Ingredients:

1 1/2 Pounds Beef 1 1/2 Pounds Stew beef cut into 1& quot
1/4 Cup Onion 1/4 Cup Minced onion
2 Tablespoons Beef 2 Tablespoons Instant beef bouillon
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder 1/2 Teaspoon Onion powder -=OR=- finely ground onion flakes
1/2 Cup Dry Red Wine 1/2 Cup Dry red wine ;
8 Ounces Spaghetti 8 Ounces Uncooked spaghetti
1 Unit Clove Of Garlic 1 Unit Clove Of Garlic cut into halves
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil 1 Tablespoon Olive oil use a good one
1 Can Whole Tomato 1 Can Whole tomatoes (16 oz)
1 Onion 1 Onion chopped (1/4 cup)
1 Tablespoon Butter 1 Tablespoon Butter or margarine (up to 3)
1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1/2 Teaspoon Salt to 1 ts
1/4 Teaspoon Sugar 1/4 Teaspoon Sugar confectioner'
1/4 Teaspoon Dried Basil 1/4 Teaspoon Dried basil leaves divided
1/4 Teaspoon Dried Rosemary 1/4 Teaspoon Dried rosemary (optional)
1 Dash Pepper 1 Dash Pepper hot red

Directions:

1. Prepare Garlic Tomato Sauce (see below).

2. Mix beef, onion, bouillon, onion powder, wine and sauce in Dutch oven.

3. Cover and cook in 350 degree oven, stirring occasionally, until beef is tender, 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

4. (Add water or wine during cooking if necessary).

5. Cook spaghetti as directed on package. Serve beef mixture over spaghetti.

6. GARLIC TOMATO SAUCE: Cook and stir garlic in oil in 1 1/2 qt.

7. saucepan over low heat untilis brown; discard garlic.

8. Stir in tomatoes (with liquid) and remaining ingredients; break up tomatoes with fork.

9. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens, 40 to 50 minutes.
