Beef and Vegetable Soup Secret Recipe

Ingredients:

2 Onions chopped fine
2 Potatoes
3 Carrots peeled
1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt coarse
1/4 Cabbage
3 Celery Stalks
3 Tablespoons Margarine stick
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Pepper
1 Pound Stew Meat cut in 1-inch cubes

Directions:

1. Melt margarine in a large heavy pot with lid.

2. Trim meat of all fat and cut into 1-inch cubes.

3. Brown beef on all sides. Add vegetables (except cabbage) which have all been sliced into pieces of approximately the same size.

4. Add 5 cups water. Cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours, adding more water if needed.

5. Slice cabbage and add to pot along with salt and pepper. Simmer for 20-25 minutes longer.
