Ingredients:

3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour 3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour (up to 2)
1/4 Cup Sugar 1/4 Cup Sugar (5.5 oz)
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda 1/2 Teaspoon Baking soda level - dissol ved in milk
1/8 Teaspoon Salt 1/8 Teaspoon Salt and pepper to taste
Cup Butter Cup Butter milk
3/4 Teaspoon Extract Of Vanilla 3/4 Teaspoon Extract Of Vanilla or orange flower water; optional
1 1/2 Cups Blueberries 1 1/2 Cups Rasp/blueberries frs or frz
1 Tablespoon Sugar 1 Tablespoon Sugar (5.5 oz)
1 Teaspoon Sugar 1 Teaspoon Sugar (5.5 oz)
1 Teaspoon Cornstarch 1 Teaspoon Cornstarch Dissolved In
1 Teaspoon Lemon Peel 1 Teaspoon Grated lemon peel

Directions:

1. Blueberries/raspberries must be fresh or frozen -- not thawed.

2. May use a mixture of the two. Preheat oven to 350 F Spray an 8" suare baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

3. In a small bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.

4. Whisk in buttermilk and vanilla. Spread evenly into prepared pan.

5. Distribute berries evenly over batter. In a small bowl, combine sugar, constarch, and lemon peel.

6. Sprinkle evenly over berries and bake in upper third of oven 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and beginning to pull away form the edges of pan.
