Birdy's Ranch Peach Cobbler

1 Cup All-Purpose Flour 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour (up to 2)
3/4 Cup Sugar 3/4 Cup Sugar for 3 lb. peaches
1/4 Pound Butter 1/4 Pound Butter (1/4 stick) cut into 6 pieces
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder 2 Teaspoons Baking powder plus
1/4 Teaspoon Salt 1/4 Teaspoon Salt (to taste)
2 Cups Milk 2 Cups Milk (evaporated is best)
1 Peach 1 Can cling peaches
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (or more, to taste)
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon Nutmeg ground

1. ~ (come to think of it, Birdy's Ranch might just be the name of the place, otherwise I don't know why I'd stick that in it's name.

2. ..oh well......... Mix dry ingredients. Add milk.

3. Stir to make a batter. Empty mixture into baking pan with melted butter streaked through it evenly.

4. Don't stirr. Add sugar to cling peaches, with cinnamon and nutmeg.

5. Pour peach mixture over and around batter approximately evenly, but do not stirr.

6. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
