2 Teaspoons Sugar plus extra for coating
1/2 Teaspoon Cream Of Tartar (up to)
2 Cups Flour divided
Cup Milk (homogenized)
4 Teaspoons Baking Powder soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt pepper to taste,
1/2 Cup Shortening Melted

1. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, cream of tartar and sugar; cut in shortening.

2. Add milk and stir. Roll or pat 1/2 inch thick and cut out with biscuit cutter.

3. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 450 degree oven 10 - 12 minutes.
