2 Cups Blueberries 2 Cups Blueberries fresh or frozen
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice 2 Tablespoons Lemon juice depending on the
1 Cup Flour 1 Cup Flour (to 4 1/2 cups)
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder 2 Teaspoons Baking powder plus
1/4 Teaspoon Salt 1/4 Teaspoon Salt (I used reduced sodium)
1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg ground
3/4 Cup Sugar 3/4 Cup Sugar confectioner'
1/2 Cup Milk 1/2 Cup Milk plus extra
1 Unit Egg 1 Unit Egg separated
1/4 Cup Butter 1/4 Cup Butter -- melted
1 Teaspoon Vanilla 1 Teaspoon Vanilla almond or lemon flav
1 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Sugar confectioner'
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch divided
1 Cup Water 1 Cup Boiling water

Directions:

1. Place blueberries and lemon juice in an 8x8 inch pan.

2. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and 3/4 cup sugar.

3. Beat in milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.

4. Spread over berries. Mix 1 cup sugar with cornstarch and sprinkle over batter.

5. Pour boiling water over all. Bake at 350^ for 40 - 50 minutes.
