Blueberry Streusel

1/2 Cup Butter (1/4 stick) cut into 6 pieces
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Unit Egg Lg
2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder ;
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda level - dissol ved in milk
1/4 Teaspoon Salt (I used reduced sodium)
1/2 Cup Buttermilk room temp
2 Cups Fresh Blueberries (up to 5)
1/4 Cup Butter cold
1/2 Cup Flour whole wheat
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (or more, to taste)
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg (optional)
1/2 Cup Sugar

1. Cream butter and sugar.

2. Beat in egg. Sift dry ingredients together and add, alternately with buttermilk, to butter mixture.

3. Pour into well-greased 9 x 13 pan. Top with blueberries.

4. Mix sugar, flour, and spices. Cut butter into tablespoons and blend into dry ingredients with a pastry blender.

5. Mixture should be crumbly. Sprinkle over blueberries.
