Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Milk Thinly Sliced
1 Teaspoon Salt pickling
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder (use 1/8 tsp. for dry humidity areas)
2 Eggs Well beaten
2 Cups Flour seasoned with
1 Slice White Bread halved

Directions:

1. Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder.

2. Add eggs, milk, and 2 slices of bread. Mix well.

3. Form into two dumplings. Let stand exactly 30 minutes.

4. Boil 12 minutes on one side and 12 minutes on the other side.

5. Slice into 1/2-inch slices. Serve immediately.

6. I sometimes make a double batch of these and freeze the loaves individually.

7. I defrost the dumplings at room temperature. To reheat the dumplings, you can either steam them or reheat in the microwave covered with a damp paper towel.
