Bourbon Sauce For Desserts

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Butter 1/2 Cup Butter (at room temp.)
1 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Sugar confectioner'
4 Unit Eggs 4 Unit Egg yolks beaten
1 Unit Salt 1 Unit Pinch of salt (optional)
1 Cup Cream 1 Cup Cream heated
1/2 Cup Bourbon 1/2 Cup Bourbon (or any good liquor)
1. In a small bow, with a hand mixer or whisk, cream butter and sugar.
2. Transfer to the top of a double boiler and place over, but not touching simmering water.
3. Beat in egg yolks an salt. Slowly add hot cream and stir until thickened.
4. Add Bourbon and stir until an even consistency is obtained.
5. Keep warm. Serve over any dessert pudding, ice cream, or poundcake.
