2 Cups Peaches quartered,peeled
2 Cups Pineapples drained
2 Cups Apricots dried, firmly packed, chopped
2 Cups Cherries bing dried
2 Cups Sugar

1. (This is a "starter" for a pot of brandied fruit.

2. It will take a total of 9 weeks for this to be complete, for eating.

3. After the initial 9 weeks, fruit and sugar may be added at 2 week intervals for an indefinite period of time.

4. Also, after the initial 9 week period, you may remove any amount of brandied fruit and give it to a friend as her "starter.

5. " Add more fruit and sugar in proportion to the amount removed).

6. In a large container (loose fitting cover), add 2 cups sugar and 2 cups bite size peaches.

7. Mix well (do not refrigerate). Stir every day until bubbles disappear, about 3 weeks.

8. Add 2 cups sugar and 2 cups bite size pineapple.

9. Stir every day for 2 weeks. Add 2 cups sugar and 2 cups diced apricots.

10. Stir daily for 2 weeks. Add 2 cups sugar and 2 cups quartered cherries.

11. Stir daily for 2 weeks. It is ready to eat now and may be refrigerated.

12. This is very much worth the trouble it is to make.

13. Excellent over ice cream. A "starter" makes an excellent Christmas gift.
