1/2 Cup Sugar plus extra for coating
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice fresh, not bottled
1/3 Cup Brandy (opt)
1 Cup Water to cover
1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg freshly ground
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch dissolved in 1 cup cold water
2 Teaspoons Salt pepper to taste,
6 Sweet Potatoes cooked

1. Combine cornstarch, nutmeg, salt and sugar in 1 quart saucepan, gradually stir in water.

2. Cook until clear5, stirring constantly. Stir in lemon juice and brandy.

3. peel potatoes, cut crosswise into 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick slices.

4. Place in buttered shallow casserole dish, cover with sauce.

5. Cover and bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 30 minutes or until glazed, basting occasionally, sprinkle with marshmallows; boil until golden brown.
