4 Unit Green Onions 4 Unit Green onions thinly sliced
1 Pound Fresh Mushrooms 1 Pound Fresh mushrooms thinly sliced
1 Tablespoon All-Purpose Flour 1 Tablespoon All-purpose flour
2 Cups Chicken Broth 2 Cups Chicken broth **
1 Pint Half And Half 1 Pint Half and half (or milk)
1 Dash Ground Nutmeg 1 Dash Ground nutmeg (optional)
1 Cup Crabmeat 1 Cup Fresh crabmeat drained and flaked
1 Dash Red Pepper 1 Dash Red pepper crushed
1 Pinch White Pepper 1 Pinch White pepper divided
1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1/2 Teaspoon Salt (to taste)

1. Melt butter in a heavy Dutch oven; add onion and mushrooms, and saute until tender.

2. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

3. Combine chicken broth, half and half and nutmeg; gradually add to mushroom mixture, stirring constantly.

4. Stir in remaining ingredients, and reduce heat.

5. Cook until thorouhly heated, stirring frequently.
