Burgers Divan

Ingredients:

3 Slices Bacon chopped
1/4 Cup Onion Chopped
1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce to taste
3/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Dry Mustard optional
1/4 Teaspoon Dried Oregano crushed
1 Pound Ground Beef lean
1/4 Cup Mayonnaise or salad dressing
2 Teaspoons Milk (evaporated is best)
4 Slices Tomatoes Meaty, Peeled And Finely Chopped
1 Zucchini thinly sliced
2 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese grated
4 Unit Hamburger Buns or kiaser rolls, split and toasted

Directions:

1. In skillet cook bacon till crisp; drain, reserving drippings.

2. Crumble bacon. Cook onion in reserved drippings till tender.

3. Combine bacon, cooked onion, worcestershire, salt, mustard and oregano.

4. Add ground beef; mix well. Shape into four 1/2 inch thick patties.

5. Broil 3 inches from heat till desired doneness, turning once (allow about 10 minutes total time for medium).

6. Combine mayonnaise and milk. Top each burger with 1 tomato slice and a few zucchini slices.

7. Dollop burgers with mayonnaise mixture; sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

8. Broil about 1 minute longer. Serve on buns or rolls.
