These dumplings are a delicious was to Jazz up your favorite homemade soups. Smooth creamy butter dumplings, add a wonderful plump texture to any soup.

Ingredients:

2 Unit Eggs 2 Unit Eggs large
1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour 1/2 Cup All-purpose flour sifted
6 Tablespoons Butter 6 Tablespoons Butter room temp Sticks
1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1/2 Teaspoon Salt (I used reduced sodium)
1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg ground
2 Quarts Beef 2 Quarts Beef or chicken broth

Directions:

1. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs.

2. Add the flour and mix. Into the flour mixture beat the butter, salt, and nutmeg to make a smooth batter.

3. Bring the soup to a boil. Drop half-teaspoonfuls of the batter into the gently boiling soup.

4. Cook 6 to 7 minutes. Serve dumplings in the soup.
