This is a simple slice and bake cookie recipe using ingredients commonly found in any pantry. The brown sugar adds a nice butterscotch flavor.

Directions:
1. Cream butter, add sugar and then add eggs and vanilla.2. Sift flour with cream of tartar and baking soda and add to first mixture.3. Form into a roll and allow to stand in ice box overnight.4. Slice thinly and bake on a greased baking sheet in moderate oven (375 F) for 10 minutes.
