Butterscotch Nut Fudge

A fast and easy dessert recipe that can be saved as a candy for a later date. Fudges and toffees are easy and fun for the family to learn together, could easily be done after dinner.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Sour Cream
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 cup Walnut Chopped
1/2 cup Walnut halves

Directions:

1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.

2. Add brown sugar and heat to boiling. Add sugar and sour cream.

3. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves, then slightly higher heat to 236 degrees F Without stirring cool at room temperature to lukewarm.

4. Beat until mixture holds its shape and loses its gloss.

5. Quickly add vanilla and nuts. Spread immediately in a buttered 8-inch square pan.

6. Cool and cut into squares. Garnish with walnut halves.
