Butterscotch Nut Fudge

A fast and easy dessert recipe that can be saved as a candy for a later date. Fudges and toffees are easy and fun for the family to learn together, could easily be done after dinner.

Directions:
1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.2. Add brown sugar and heat to boiling. Add sugar and sour cream.3. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves, then slightly higher heat to 236 degrees F Without stirring cool at room temperature to lukewarm.4. Beat until mixture holds its shape and loses its gloss.5. Quickly add vanilla and nuts. Spread immediately in a buttered 8-inch square pan.6. Cool and cut into squares. Garnish with walnut halves.
