Directions:
1. Whirl almonds in blender until finely ground.2. In a bowl mix together flour, sugar and ground almonds; with fingers work in butter and vanilla until mixture cleans bowl.3. Chill about 1 hour. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.4. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 350 oven 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.5. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar, if desired.
