Buttery Caramel Quicks

A quick and easy recipe sure to please the whole family. As a snack, lunchbox treat or presented in a gift box, these scrumptious bites will have everyone ask for more.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup Butter
2/3 cup Brown Sugar Firmly packed
1 tablespoon Water
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
2/3 cup Milk
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/3 cup Pecan Chopped

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

2. In 9-inch square pan, melt butter. Stir in 1/3 cup brown sugar and water.

3. Set aside. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

4. Add milk all at once, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.

5. Turn out onto well-floured surface. Roll out to a 12x10 inch rectangle.

6. Combine 1/3 cup brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans.

7. Sprinkle over dough. Roll up starting with 12-inch side.

8. Cut into 1-inch slices; place cut-side down in prepared pan.

9. Bake at 425 degrees for 18 to 22 minutes until golden brown.
