Ingredients:

1 Cup Rice 1 Cup Rice cooked, cold
1 Unit Cabbage 1 Unit Head of cabbage about 3 lbs., cleaned and diced
4 Slices Bacon 4 Slices Bacon chopped
3 Tablespoons Margarine 3 Tablespoons Margarine or butter; (softened)
1 Can Tomato 1 Can (16 oz) tomatoes drained and cut up
3 Tablespoons Fresh Parsley 3 Tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped
2 Cloves Of Garlic 2 Clove Of Garlic finely chopped
7 Cups Chicken Broth 7 Cups Chicken broth (I suppose you can use a non
1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan cheese
1 Unit Pepper 1 Unit Salt and pepper to taste.

Directions:

1. Cook bacon in margarine for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.

2. Add tomatoes, parsley and garlic. Simmer for about 10 minutes.

3. Remove garlic and add the cabbage. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

4. Add broth, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for another hour.

5. Add rice and cook for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and serve.
