This is a recipe which is simple to make and puts a lovely end to your party. It is a quick dessert to make which is as delicious to taste as it is easy to make. It can be made with the most basic ingredients which are available at home.
1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a Dutch oven and bring to a boil.
2. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture reaches 225 degrees.
3. Add pecans and continue cooking, stirring constantly until mixture reaches the soft ball stage (236 degrees) on a candy thermometer.
4. Remove from heat and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until mixture begins to thicken.
5. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased waxed paper.
6. Let stand until firm. Store in an airtight container.
