3/4 Cup Dark Brown Sugar packed
1 Dash Ground Cloves (optional)
1/3 Teaspoon Salt Cayenne pepper to taste
1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder soda
1/2 Cup Milk up to 1
Cup Sugar (8oz)
1 Cup Flour seasoned with
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon or cloves
3/4 Cup Water boiling
1/4 Cup Butter melted
1/2 Cup Pecan chopped
4 Apples peeled and sliced

1. In large bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and cloves.

2. Add milk and mix. Stir in apples and pecans. Turn into ungreased 2 quart dish.

3. In separate bowl combine brown sugar, melted butter and boiling water; pour evenly over batter.

4. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-55 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
