This is a fairly easy recipe to follow and make. It's a great use of apples and caramel, two things that go so well with one another. This is an excellent fall recipe and is great addition to the Harvest picnic in your area.
1. BASE: Beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Blend in egg. Add flour; mix well. Spread dough onto bottom and sides of 9-inch springform pan.
3. Bake at 450, 10 minutes. BODY: Combine cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar and flour, mixing at medium speed until well blended.
4. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Blend in sour cream. Toss apples in remaining sugar and cinnamon.
6. Stir into cream cheese mixture. Pour over crust.
7. Swirl 1/4 cup caramel topping into cream cheese mixture.
8. Bake at 350, 1 hour. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan.
9. Chill. Top with remaining caramel topping and pecans.
